You never forget your first sighting of Fitzroy's legendary Carrot Man - a Melbourne institution who's devoted his days to lugging around a giant Paper Mache carrot, for the sole purpose of bringing merriment. 

I often wonder if he gets tired walking all over town and if he sometimes wishes that the carrot could carry him for a bit.
